About Us
Red Tree Oaxaca
Red Tree began in Mexico City's Condesa neighborhood two dacades ago, when Jorge and Craig set out to create something different, a small hotel that felt less like a hotel and more like staying with a well-traveled friend.
The idea was simple: beautiful, thoughtfully decorated spaces, a warm and attentive team, and an atmosphere that made it easy for guests to feel at home and connect with one another. It worked. The Red Tree House in Condesa became a destination in its own right — the kind of place guests return to again and again, and recommend to everyone they know.
Red Tree Oaxaca is the natural next chapter of that story.
Frequently asked questions
We believe travel is better when it's personal. When the people who look after you actually care. When the place you're staying feels alive — with good design, good music, good company.
We're not trying to be the biggest hotel in Oaxaca. We're trying to be the one you remember most.

What We Believe
Our Oaxaca property is a historic hacienda in the heart of the city's centro histórico, just a few blocks from the Zócalo. After more than a year of careful, loving renovation, we've restored it into a place that honors its past while offering every modern comfort.
The result is a hotel full of character, art-filled rooms, a central courtyard perfect for conversation, and gathering spaces that invite you to slow down and stay a while.
We are currently in a preview phase, welcoming our first guests as we continue to bring the full vision to life. Six additional suites, expanded gardens, and a proper breakfast room will follow. But the heart of the place — the warmth, the attention, the convivial spirit, is here now, and fully yours to enjoy.
